A8 Newell posts are part of structural steel NSC and specified as powdercoated – final finish could be:-

- Shot blasted and lacquered

- Waxed rust

A9 Stainless steel wire to balustrade to be grade 316 and supplied complete with ss sprung turnbuckles at end of each straight run of wire. Wire to pass through intermediate posts, intermediate posts to be provided with ss ferrules. Fixings on end posts are to be 6mm flat plate tangs welded in position. Note on drawings.

A10 Note dry bar top to be granite. Show support framing on sections drawings.

A11 Allow PC sum of $16,000-00 for ‘Internet Café’ desking

A12 Contractor to allow for supply and wiring of 16no 10a GPO’s from DB position nominated by ‘The Pier Marketplace’

A13 Note that no top channel is to be provided to glass panels of balustrade, patch plate to be provided at central junction of glass panels

A14 Show timber edging at junction of timber flooring and timber upstand to high level decks.

A15 Contractor to allow for supply and wiring of 5no double 10a GPO’s on exposed mezzanine channels from a DB position nominated by ‘The Pier Marketplace’. Show positions on plan.

A16 Contractor to allow for supply and wiring of 2no double 10a GPO’s at each waiter station positions from a DB position nominated by ‘The Pier Marketplace’. Show positions on plan.

A17 Supply and erection of all steel framing to be by NSC, main contractor to allow for attendance.

Zone B – New Glazed Dining Area

B1 Painting of walls, columns and ceilings will not form part of the contract.

B2 Steel framing to be by NSC and will be powdercoated in white, main contractor to allow for attendance.

B3 Ceramic floor tiling and skirting will not form part of the contract.

B4 Note on drawings - ceiling is 13mm and not 10mm plasterboard.

B5 Note on drawings - retain 2no. existing balcony stormwater outlets and sealing of 6no.

B6 Note on drawings - on elevation note glazing between twin 150 x 100 framing

B7 Omit high level fixed glazing on end walls?

B8 Removal of grilles and sealing of ductwork at high level above existing glazing on grid B2 will be carried out by ‘The Pier Marketplace’. Main contractor to allow for cladding bulkhead in 13mm plasterboard, painting to be by others.

B9 main contractor to allow for making good and whitesetting of existing columns on grid B2, painting and decoration of columns to be by others.

B10 Allow PC sum of $5,000-00 for supply of light fittings to zone B

B11 Main contractor to allow for switching and wiring of 18no lighting positions from DB position nominated by The Pier Marketplace

B12 Note on drawings – Note that polythene membrane is to be taped and sealed at all joints

B13 Roof flashing at junction with existing building to be provided with profiled corrugated foam infill and flashing scribed to roofing. Draw enlarged detail.

B14 Paint system and sealer to FC sheet externally to be as specified by Taubman’s or equal approved.

B15 Discuss option of providing speed bracing to all bays on top of purlins with structural engineer in lieu of exposed bracing to end bays as currently designed.
