3 DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

OUTLINE DESCRIPTION:

Inspect existing ceilings. Remove ceilings to be demolished. The exact extent of demolition will be determined on site. In general this will be the entire drop bulkhead over the existing foodcourt. The luxalon coffers and associated bulkheads will remain. Provide new suspended ceilings in accordance with the plans.

Also inspect mechanical drawings prepared by Lincolne Scott and accommodate all penetrations, fittings and outlets as shown on the mechanical drawings.

Remove the existing punker system and dispose of as instructed by the owner.

REFER REFLECTED CEILING PLANS: Supply and fix new plasterboard ceilings on suspended metal furring channels. Existing suspension rods may be reused. Neatly butt to existing

11 feature metal ceilings over bistro 2.

Supply and fix feature decorative stainless steel sheet above Bistro 2 as shown on the reflected ceiling plan.

Steel sheet type ; RIMEX, pattern; 9EH, stainless finish BA.

Fold the edges of each panel on all sides, over and around 19mm sheet ply backing. Form butt joints and mastic seal each joint with clear sealant. Clean off all excess sealant.

Fix the sheets to ply backing on the concealed folded edges with countersunk screw fixings. On exposed edges, use a return fold over the surround framing, 120mm ht approx. No exposed fixings. Bond steel to ply with glue.

Where the feature panel butts plasterboard, use aluminium casing beads and set plaster. Seal the joint with clear mastic.

Existing Column lights;. Replace existing column lights with Sylto lights with the base and connection points uppermost. In the new Enclosed Patio area fit 100 below new bulkhead. In the remainder of the Food Court area fit to underside of existing ceilings.

Make good the fixing holes where fittings have been removed. Whiteset the columns to a standard acceptable to the owner.
